Spiritual Warfare 2004

As you remember, my New Year’s message was, “2004 – A Year of Great Drama and Spiritual Warfare.” I hope you got a copy of that message. It is available. You need it!

The study of God’s Word reveals that Believers wear armor, Ephesians 6:10 and use powerful godly weapons, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. In the Apostle Paul’s writing to Timothy, he makes it clear that Believers are soldiers and ought not to be overly involved in civilian activities, 2 Timothy 2:1-4.

Sad to say, but most Christians seldom wear armor or use godly weapons. My personal observation, from ministry in our churches, is that 60% of our people are carried away in fleshly carnal activities.

Please accept the teachings of our Lord, given by the Holy Spirit in
1 John 2:15-17. “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world - the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life - is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”

Paul writes in the Roman Letter, Chapter 8:6-8, “For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”

Actually, these verses are part of the biblical teaching on HOLINESS. Without which NO ONE will see the Lord.

In order to win in spiritual warfare, you must be holy and clothed in God’s armor using His mighty weapons. This formula assures your victory on a daily basis. Without God’s provision of armor and weapons you are no match for your adversary, the Devil.

Allow me to point out areas of spiritual warfare other than one’s personal battles.

Mid-East peace, as prophesied by Ezekiel in Chapter 38, is spiritual warfare. The battle against terrorists is a major facet of present-day spiritual warfare. The almost continual struggle over enough money to finance the preaching of the Gospel is spiritual warfare. The battle over our children’s proper education and protection from drugs and pornography is spiritual warfare. THE BATTLE FOR THE PRESIDENCY OF THE UNITED STATES AND CONTROL OF OUR CONGRESS is spiritual warfare.

Another raging battle is the URGENT NEED to AWAKEN THE CHURCH from spiritual lethargy and selfishness. Along with these is the present attack of Satan, through ungodly Liberals, to change our country into a secular and immoral one. I hate to admit it, but my old political party, the Democrats, have become the party of the UNGODLY; this is spiritual warfare.

As a follower of Jesus, and one who professes to know the Word, YOU MUST BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO BE ON THE WRONG SIDE IN THIS WAR. I WOULD FIND IT VERY TROUBLING TO THINK MY VOTE HELPED PLACE A GODLESS liberal in a public office; especially the Presidency or as a member of Congress.

As a Christian, you must realize that we are now in the most intense spiritual warfare EVER.

Draw close to our Lord. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and accept His guidance. Put on the armor of God, take up His mighty weapons and report for duty.

The battle rages and you as a Christians must not be deceived and assist the wrong side. More on spiritual warfare will follow. “The battle field is your mind. It is there choices of right or wrong, good or evil are made.”

Do not be brain washed into calling evil, good and good, evil. The godless and Liberals are already doing so and brand anyone who opposes them as “INTOLERABLE.”

I for one am intolerable. How about you?
