Monthly Newsletter
January 2003
Dear Friend:
New Year’s greetings in the name of Jesus, the Anointed
One.
You and I are now three years past the prophesied Y2K (Jan. 1,
2000) and none of the negatively prophesied events of that date
have come to pass. How refreshing it would have been if the ministers
who prophesied Y2K would have apologized for missing the leading
of the Holy Spirit. To my knowledge, not one of them has had the
nerve or confidence to say, “I mislead you and I’m
sorry.” Had they done so, it would have shown their godly
character.
2000 saw the election of a new God-fearing President and the beginning
of economic problems due to excessive greed and immorality in the
corporate world.
2001 exposed the corruption within the corporate and accounting
world and tragedy struck the World Trade Towers in New York City.
It was also the beginning of war against international terrorism.
Remember, the scripture states, “Be sure your sins will
find you out,” Numbers 32:23. The scripture also reveals
in the 38th Chapter of Ezekiel, verses 8 and 11, that terrorism
will be defeated. This has to occur in order for there to be peace
in the Middle East. Our President is on a godly assignment. Pray
much for him and do not be influenced by either the Liberal media
or the ungodly Hollywood crowd.
2002 saw success in Afghanistan, but horrible terrorist strikes
in Israel. The economy continued to be affected by revelation of
fraud and greed. However, though the stock market is lower, the
overall economy remains strong. By the way, the stock market will
respond in a positive manner. It has to due to the prophecy of
Jesus in Luke 17:26-30. There He describes a robust economy right
up to the rapture.
Unusual weather and horrendous forest fires have
also been evident in 2002. One of the most amazing events of 2002
was the Congressional
elections. The incumbent administration increased its membership
in the Congress, in mid-term elections, for the first time
in forty years. What does this mean? Simply, GOD IS HAVING HIS
WAY! It also means the American people are getting fed up with
immorality, lying, cheating, and lack of proper representation
within the political arena.
It is time for America as a whole to repent and pray and turn
from wickedness, so God can heal our land. 2 Chronicles
7:14 declares,
“ if My people who are called by My name
will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face,
and turn from their wicked
ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin
and heal their land.”
This verse of scripture reveals that God’s children, you
and I, hold the key to the healing of our land and forgiveness.
2003 could be and should be a time of healing in our land. It
all depends on God’s people (us) humbling ourselves, praying,
seeking God ’s face and turning from every wicked way.
You and I must be more broad-minded in 2003 than ever before.
We must realize the God is not only interested in our immediate
families and churches; but He loves and wants the whole world saved.
For God’s desire to be fulfilled you and I must do our part
and do it well.
Our nation is vital to the plan of God for this world. We are
the only country that has long been known as the Christian nation.
See Matthew 5:9.
We are and have been the world’s peacemaker. We are and
have been the major sponsor and supporter of Israel. See Genesis
12:3. We are and have been the arm of evangelism to the whole world
and God is not through with us yet. See Mark 16:15.
However, for God’s will to be done and His work to be carried
out to perfection, His children must be walking and talking with
Him. Obedience to the Word and the Holy Spirit is a must.
A massive harvest of souls is depending upon us and we cannot
let them down. 2003 is the year for the believing community to
enjoy full spiritual restoration and become the most powerful influence
in the land.
The window of opportunity is open. The Holy Spirit is here and
we must not fail. 2003 is our year of spiritual restoration. Let’s
get with the program now and not wait until the year is nearly
over.
I close this New Year’s letter with Romans 12: 11-14,
“…not lagging in diligence, fervent
in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in
tribulation, continuing
steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the
saints, given to hospitality. Bless those who persecute you;
bless and
do not curse. ”
Come on my friend, let’s you and I make 2003 the greatest
year of spiritual growth and progress in all of history. We are
well able to do it!
For your first of the year financial gift, I will send you my
New Year’s tape, “2003 in Prophecy.” Send the
best gift you can and request the tape. Prayer requests are also
prayed over as they are opened.
I’m believing for our greatest year yet. How about you?
In the excitement of serving Jesus and you,
Hilton Sutton Th.D.
