Dear Friend:

Greetings in the powerful name of Jesus and blessings for this New Year of 2004.

It is my prayer for you and yours that 2004 becomes one of, if not THE, best year of your life. I am confident our heavenly Father is more than ready to assist and work with you and I day by day.

Remember, Jesus only asks that we walk with Him daily. ONE DAY AT A TIME. Our heavenly Father loves us so very much that He dispatched God the Holy Spirit to become our daily Helper.

He, the Holy Spirit, has been here helping all who accept Him to daily please our heavenly Father. Think about this: The Holy Spirit began His glorious assignment as “Helper” on the Jewish Feast Day of Pentecost nearly 2000 years ago. He has not grown tired, bored, disappointed or exasperated with His wonderful assignment.

After all, He knows He is bringing the Believers, WHO ALLOW HIM TO DO SO, to full spiritual growth and wonderful maturity. He is getting our Lord’s army ready to follow Him in the greatest conquest of souls in all of history.

In some parts of our world such as China, India, Russia, parts of Africa and South America, the harvest has begun. However, here in America and Europe the Holy Spirit is patiently awaiting the believing community to realize they cannot bring in our part of the End Time Harvest without His help.

I firmly believe 2004 is the year for every true Believer to absolutely accept the leadership and direction of the Holy Spirit. You may ask, “Aren’t all Christians led by the Holy Spirit?” The answer is, NO! Many of them, including some of our churches, are religious but not spiritual.

Please, I am not being judgmental. I am looking at the fruit, or lack of it, on their trees.

What fruit should our lives produce? Paul tells us in Galatians 5:22-23. “But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against which there is no law.”

The Fruit of the Holy Spirit always produces excellent spiritual life that gloriously affects every facet of life. The end result is soul winning, unity among the saints, and ever increasing faith. The above is not possible without the daily help of the Holy Spirit.

Notice, Paul goes on to write: “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with all its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Thank God for the Holy Spirit’s help!

However, if we do not daily accept His help, it is impossible to have the right kind of fruit in our lives. After all, living a true Christian life is a supernatural process and cannot be achieved carnally.

2004 must become the year for every Believer to be filled with the Spirit as our Apostle writes in Ephesians 5:15-21:

Without the Holy Spirit becoming a dominant factor in our lives, we will not ever become the living image of our Lord as described in Ephesians 4:11-16. Again, let me remind you the Holy Spirit is here to be our daily Helper. Should we foolishly deny Him the right to guide and direct us daily, we will only be religious and not truly a follower of our Lord Jesus.

Jesus declares, “These signs follow them that believe; In My name (the most powerful name) they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly it will by no means hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” This should describe all true Believers.

Do you follow signs or do they follow you? If we the Body of Christ are not having signs follow us daily, something is seriously missing in our lives. Generally, and much too often, it is the daily help and indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

2004 must become the year that all Believers become filled with the Spirit and remain so on a daily basis. Otherwise we delay the harvest of souls and the glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus.

Without question, you and I have a definite assignment that cannot be carried out without the Holy Spirit’s anointing. 2004 is a very crucial and drama-filled year, but a glorious one, provided you stay filled with and directed by the Holy Spirit daily.

By now, I’m sure you have noticed my emphasis on the word “DAILY.” The emphasis is by the Holy Sprit.

Nothing is too hard for a Believer! This is always true when one remains full of the Holy Spirit and accepts His daily direction. Oh, by the way, the Holy Spirit will never lead or direct you contrary to the written Word of God.

As a minister of our Lord Jesus, allow me to encourage you to be filled with the Spirit and always accept His anointing and leadership. THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT.
