Dear Friend,
New opportunities for spiritual growth and maturity come with
this New Year. Also comes the opportunity to serve the Lord more
consistently than ever. Improvement on every facet of our Christian
life must be our goal.
Faithfulness, loyalty and dedication have much room for improvement
in most of our churches. This is an excellent year to shake off
lethargy, apathy and dangerous LUKEWARMNESS. See Rev. 3:16.
Paul admonishes us to, “Stir up the gift that is within
us.” In Philippians 2:12, he exhorts us to “work out
our salvation with fear and trembling.” Salvation is a free
gift from our heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, BUT we have
the responsibility of daily maintenance.
I’ve made an awesome discovery! When you and I stay connected
with the Holy Spirit and active in the harvest of souls, we develop
divine nature and the character of our Father and Jesus. We must
not allow ourselves to become self-centered. We are all part of
God’s harvest combine and must participate in the soul harvest.
2003 is affording us the greatest opportunity ever to win the
lost. You can be and must be a vital part in the harvest. You can
do this by sharing your personal testimony of God’s love
with others.
Isaiah 55:11 states, “God’s word does not return void,
it accomplishes what it has been sent to do.” So, when you
tell someone about Jesus and God’s love, in your life, you
have a right to expect results. With your testimony you are sowing
the seed of the Word. EXPECT RESULTS! Remember, some sow, others
water and another reaps. Jesus even states, “You may get
to reap where you have not sown.” His word is true and faith
is acting on or because of His word. A harvest is guaranteed, we
have only to do our part.
You can also win souls by being active in your church. Praying,
attending and giving are part of the process of winning the lost.
A third way you can be involved in the end-time harvest is to
become a covenant partner with an established anointed ministry.
Ministries like ours are reaching out to people and bringing in
a harvest. As a partner, you become a fixed member of a soul winning
team. You also reap an equal reward.
GOD, JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT ARE READY TO MAKE 2003 MORE THAN
WE CAN ASK FOR.
Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly
abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power
that works in us.”
Don’t wait; pray and seek after all that the Lord has provided
so there is no lack of power in your life. GOD IS READY TO DO EXCEEDINGLY
AND ABUNDANTLY – but what He will do is determined by His
power residing in you.
2003 is designed to be your best year as a Christian. You and
I are in a cooperative relationship with our Father. Let us do
our part, so He can do His.
Let us show up and show off for Jesus so the Father can wake up
the world. GOD IS READY – Don’t make Him wait on you.
So often I hear the statement, “I’ll get around to
it.” Such a term is a lousy excuse and too often opens the
door for disobedience. “Round to its” do not exist.
We must be like those before us who said, “Here am I, Lord,
use me;” and He did!
I’m EXCITED about the New Year.
