Dear Partner in the Harvest,

Greetings from the city of Hilo on the big island of Hawaii. Our first conference for 2005 was sponsored by Dr. Les Brown, Pastor of Thy Word Ministries here on the island. Seriously, JoAnn and I are not on vacation, this is a working assignment. We rejoice because our television program is being well received here in the islands. Although the Hawaiian Islands are considered to be a paradise, pagan religions are still strong among the people. Actually this is a civilized mission field and soul-winning opportunities abound.

As you know, because Satan believes his own lies, he never admits to being defeated. So, you and I keep him wallowing in defeat and losing those he had captured. Thank God for the Holy Ghost and the uncompromising Word!

I am sure you have become aware of the increasing upheavals of nature. The recent earthquake, measuring 9 on the Richter scale, and the tsunami are major catastrophes. Thus far, the death toll is estimated at over 150,000. How tragic! I’m sure you and your church have been praying for the survivors and people of the regions struck by the tsunami.

I am being asked, “Does this event fit into Bible prophecy?” The answer is, YES and it falls into the “time of sorrows” prophesied by Jesus in Matthew 24, verses 4 through 8. The time of sorrows began with the destruction of the second temple in 70 A.D. by the Romans. We know this because the destruction of the temple is prophesied by Jesus in the opening of this Chapter.

Sorrows are made up of several categories including wars, disagreements among nations, ethnic problems, famines, pestilences (dreaded diseases) and EARTHQUAKES in various places.

Jesus clearly states, “All these are the BEGINNING of sorrows.” Historical record continues recording these events. Research reveals a steady increase of every form of sorrows over the last 50 to 60 years. Never in my lifetime have I known of an earthquake and tsunami as powerful as these most recent ones. Some years ago, a tsunami came in from the Pacific Ocean and struck the city of Hilo, Hawaii. I have visited the area destroyed, and to this day it remains vacant.

Just to remind you, the destruction of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York was an event of sorrows. It fell under the category of wars. Our nation is at war with international terrorism. Yes, we will win!

Is nature attempting to speak to the world’s population? The answer is YES! Here is how it’s voice is heard. Since Jesus pinpointed the beginning of sorrows and it concludes with the seven years of tribulation, all the categories of sorrows are simply echoing the words of Jesus. Notice in Matthew 24, beginning with verse 32 and continuing through verse 44, Jesus places the restoration of Israel and His appearing into the prophetic time He is describing.

So, with increasing upheavals of nature, the voice of our Lord Jesus is getting louder. He is letting us know, HE IS COMING SOON!

As some of you know, the Tribulation begins with a massive act of God’s wrath. His wrath always comes through a huge upheaval of nature. You may read about this upheaval, in defense of Israel, in Ezekiel 38:18-23 and the first six verses of Chapter 39. Ezekiel places this act of the wrath of God at the beginning of a seven-year frame of time, which is the Tribulation. Chapter 39:9-10 establishes this truth.

I cannot emphasize strongly enough soul winning.

With wars, ethnic problems, food shortages, serious diseases and nature’s upheaval increasing, JESUS MUST BE COMING SOON!

You and I have work to do. Jesus said, “Blessed is that servant whom His master, WHEN HE COMES, will find him so doing,” Matthew 24:46. Verse 47 refers to the millennium during which the faithful servants will be ruling and reigning here, with Jesus.

There is not a single child of God that cannot be involved with the assignment of soul winning. Not everyone can go out as I and others, but everyone can help send us. Those who help us become a vital part of the SOUL WINNING TEAM.

Presently I have over 14,000 people on my active mailing list and only a little over 1,300 support us financially. With our present support, I and my staff are very busy: special meetings, conferences, Institutes of End Time Study, messages by book, audio and video and weekly television to the world.

How much more could we accomplish if all 14,000 plus people on our mailing list would become regular financial supporters? We could and would step up our outreach to the lost and bring even more pleasure to our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus.

I never stipulate how much one ought to give, I only ask that you give, which is exactly what Jesus asks, see Luke 6:38.

Our dedication to our ministry assignment and our more than 50-year track record allows me to say, “We are good ground for you to sow into!”
