Monthly Newsletter
March 2003
Dear Friend:
As some of you may already know, on Wednesday, February 19,
2003, our precious daughter, Lisa, went home to be with
our Lord. We mourn her passing, but are comforted by the
truth
of the Word:
Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast
redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.
Psalms 31:5.
God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for
he shall receive me.
Psalms 49:15.
And as our family in Christ, we wanted you to
know, so that we can ask your support through your prayers
of strength
and peace for our family. It is also important for
us to remember that physical death is only a passage to
the glorious
life awaiting all believers through Christ our Redeemer!
Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is
thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? But thanks
be to
God, which
giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinithians 15:54, 55, and 57.
The illnesses Lisa suffered during the last seven
years have been difficult for us to deal with. The
enemy
tried to take
her life on several occasions, but was restrained
by the Lord through many prayers. And her passing
may
seem like
a victory for the devil, especially to those of us
remaining in this temporal state. But death has no
hold on the
followers of Jesus – He destroyed death.
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our
Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death,
and hath brought
life and immortality to light through the gospel.
2 Timothy 1:10.
For the past years our family has struggled with
the mounting costs of continuous medical treatment
and
tests, as we endeavored
to help Lisa overcome the illnesses she faced.
During these difficult times, JoAnn and I have
assisted
in every possible
way, as would any parents. As some of you are aware,
the costs of hospital care and kidney dialysis
treatment have
placed a tremendous financial strain on our personal
finances. Unfortunately, these circumstances have
resulted in a greater
need for your financial support.
The goal of this ministry is to evangelize the
world through the prophecies of the scripture – a
goal we plan to continue and expand in these
last days.
With your help,
we
will meet this divine calling, and many more
will come to Jesus!! Although we will grieve
the loss
of our
daughter, we are committed to fulfilling the
call of God on our lives.
If you are already a partner, may we ask that you
consider a larger than usual gift to the ministry
in this time
of need. If you are not a partner now, would you
please prayerfully
consider becoming a partner with us to share the
good news throughout the world. These gifts will
allow us
to continue
our work in the ministry to an even greater proportion.
JoAnn and I, and all of the staff here at Hilton
Sutton World Ministries want to thank you for
your financial
support.
We also wish to thank you in advance for your
continued prayers for our strength and peace during this
difficult time, and
that you will rejoice with us in the truth and
power of our Lord and King.
In Christ’s
Love,
Hilton & JoAnn Sutton
