Dear Fellow Soldier in our Lord’s Army,

Greetings, II Timothy 2:1-4. Summer is arriving, school is out, and it is vacation time. Don’t relax your spiritual walk and life simply because it’s summer. The devil is our adversary (I Peter 5:8), Spiritual Warfare continues, and it is worldwide. So, keep your armor on and the weapons of our warfare ready. Ephesians 6:10 and II Corinthians 10:4-5. Do not forget, we fight the good fight of faith. A good fight is one you win. I Timothy 6:12.

The Pope’s visit to our country was very timely. He came at a time in which a serious and determined effort has been launched against Christianity and the name of Jesus in our nation. His visit brought not only his denomination to the forefront, but the Christian Church in the U.S. A. I carefully followed his visit and closely observed his facial expressions. It was very evident that he thoroughly enjoyed his visit to our country. Prior to the Pope’s arrival he used the title of one of my books, “As the United States Goes, so Goes the World,” in a statement. His word choice was just slightly different, but the meaning was the same. As you know, there exists a strong charismatic community in the Roman Catholic Church in which there are cardinals, bishops, priests, and laymen who speak in other tongues. The Pope’s visit was timely because; we are now beginning to hear statements from godless liberals via television and radio that the United States was never a Christian nation. Such television and radio announcements are the same form of brainwashing used by the communist party. At this point, one might say, “Hilton, your words are a bit startling.” Well, they aren’t intended to be. As a servant of the most high God, I must inform you. An informed believer is not likely to be caught off guard. He or she is more likely to be on the frontline of the battle.

There can be no question but an attack has begun to change the image of our nation from Christianity to atheism! The attack is being lead by powerful liberals who claim to be “American” but have very un-American ideals! They proudly support ungodly organizations such as the ACLU, Move On, People for the American Way, and Christians for Separation of Church and State.
The battle is beginning to rage and every Christian must decide which side he or she is on. There is no middle ground! Prior to World War II, Christians in Germany thought there was a “middle of the road.” They were mistaken!

Now let me request that you open your bible to John chapter 17. There you will find a prophetic prayer. One prayed by none other than our Lord Jesus. In His prayer, which will be answered, Jesus asked the heavenly Father for all His true followers to be one, as He and the Father are one. When this prayer is answered, the body of Christ, the Church, will be one in purpose, plan and action, no longer divided as we are today. If you ask me how this unity will come about, my answer is, “by the Holy Ghost.” He has been sent to help us. See John chapters 14 and 16. According to Ephesians 4:11 – 16, the Church, through the ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers (the combined ministry of Jesus) must become mature and a living statue of our Lord before we are caught away. As I stated, this is a job for the Holy Spirit; He is God, the Holy Ghost, who will cause us, the believing family, to become the glorious church which Jesus presents unto Himself. Ephesians 5:27

The Holy Spirit will succeed in bringing the church into glory and maturity through our willingness to yield and obey Him and the Word of God. Our future is wonderful! Continue walking daily with the Lord, following the lead of the Holy Spirit, and resisting the Devil. KEEP HIM ON THE RUN!
