I’m sure you have noticed, “RUSSIA IS BACK.” With the leadership of Vladimir Putin and major discoveries of oil, Russia is rapidly returning to a position of a SUPER POWER. Is this development prophesied? YES! It is a further sign that we are in the season of our LORD’S appearing.

First let’s take a historical look at Russia. Under the Czars, Christianity was almost a state religion. The Russian Orthodox Church accepted Jesus as the Son of God, raised from the dead. However, as any Christian organization can fall away and become consumed by ritual and pageantry, so did the Russian Church.

Prior to World War One, the Russian people had given the world some of its greatest literature, music and arts. During the war, the Bolshevizes rose to power under the leadership of Carl Marx and Vladimir Lenin. These men and their minority people’s party over ran the government and executed Czar Nicolaus and his family. The rule of the Romanoff family ended and Communism became the order of the day.

A tragic era of over 70 years began. Under communism, led by Lenin and Stalin, the Soviet Union was formed. Stalin by force added smaller nations around the borders of Russia to his domain. The Soviet Union and Communism continued, with various Godless leaderships until the late eighties and nineties under Mikhail Gorbachev. We watched the Soviet Union and Russia decline from a world power to third world status and all because of communism and its religion of Atheism. With its economy in shambles, their military rusting away and its lifestyle less than desirable, Vladimir Putin came on the scene.

In order for Bible prophecy to be accurately fulfilled, Russia had to come back. Gorbachev had dismantled the Soviet Union and buried Soviet Communism in 1990. When he stepped down as the General Secretary of the Soviet Union, Boris Yeltsin took over and formed a new government similar to ours. Yeltsin, unsuccessful in stopping the fall of Russia left his office and placed a young well educated man in his place as the President, Vladimir Putin.

Putin was unknown to everyone. The world searched to find out who he was and where he had come from. He had been one of the powerful leaders of the Russian KGB and the most knowledgeable person of Russia’s nuclear ability. Under his leadership, Russia’s economy is flourishing and the military is once again modern and growing in strength.

Twenty six hundred years ago, the prophet Ezekiel, received future insight by the Holy Spirit, concerning the geographical lands of Magog, Meshech and Tubal. These are located in the extreme north of Israel. Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 reveal the prophecy of Magog, Mesheck and Tubal and the leader Gog, presently Mr. Putin. Within these chapters the future is described and it includes an existing nation of Israel and a powerful nation to the north. This northern power has allies that are listed in verses five and six of chapter 38. Please notice that the first one is Persia, the nation we now know as Iran, the remainder of the once proud Persian Empire. We have been watching a relationship build between Russia and Iran for over three years and today it is still ongoing.

According to Ezekiel’s prophecies Russia, (Magog, Meshech and Tubal), intends a swift military takeover of Israel with the help of a number of nations controlled by the religion of Islam. Because of these prophesied developments and others there can be no question that you and I live in the season of the appearing of Jesus. The “Time of the End”, the church’s Friday is now underway. We, the church, the body of Christ must once again submit to the Holy Spirit and the Word of God for every aspect of our daily lives. Anything less than the Holy Spirit’s anointing and the absolute unadulterated Word of God must be laid aside and disregarded.

The Church, beginning with preachers, who are called by God, and then the laity must be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit to become a living image of Jesus. Only then will the church will convince the world that Jesus was indeed sent by God for their salvation. READ CAREFULLY AND BELIEVE John Chapter 17. With us Christians, becoming Christ like in every way it will cause an incoming of souls producing the “END TIME HARVEST”. You and I are responsible for this harvest before we are caught away.

LET’S DO IT! HERE’S HOW – “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2. “This I say, walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lust against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.” Galatians 5: 16-17.

In Matthew 24:44-47, Jesus provides us divine insight as to who is caught up to meet Him in the air and their future assignment. It reads: “Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his master, when he comes will find so doing.” Assuredly, I say to you, that He will make Him ruler over all His goods”

These few verses take us from the Harvest field to heaven and then to be rulers during the 1,000 year reign of our Lord Jesus. One’s prayer life and giving is of vital importance if we are going to quickly bring in the end time harvest.
