God and Country

The United States of America and its People, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for His own inheritance.” Psalms 33:12 When one studies the majestic book of Genesis, a discovery is made. God began with a people, Adam, and His descendants. They were expected to walk and communicate with God daily; as that was the principle God established between Himself and Adam and Eve. This principle has never been re-sended!

The anointed Angel, Lucifer, had been cast out of heaven to the earth. Here he is known as the Devil and Satan. The descendants of Adam, in spite of Satan’s interference, continued walking and talking with God until the generation of Noah. By that time, Satan had managed to so deceive and corrupt the people; God destroyed them all, except Noah and his righteous family.

After the flood God begins anew, and man’s adversary the Devil, attempts to corrupt the people to gain control of the earth. In order to prevent Satan’s success, God calls Abram from the Ur of Chaldees. As the story unfolds from Genesis Chapter 12, God has once again a people, the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob’s name was changed to Israel and he begat sons who would provide the 12 tribes of Israel. God’s people therefore, were the descendants of Abraham by his grandson Jacob. It was never God’s plan for them to become a nation. Remember, Satan is still on the scene doing his best to interfere with God’s plan. God remained the one and only leader of the people and spoke often to them through Moses, Joshua, Samuel and His handpicked judges like Gideon.

Under Moses, God gave the Ten Commandments, which were designed to provide them with divine directions for a long and blessed life. However, by the time of the Prophet Samuel, the people were calling for a king to rule over them. Because the people of other nations had kings, the people of Israel wanted to be like them ... It is always a tragedy in the making when God’s people begin to resemble the people of the world. God clearly stated, that what the people wanted would not be good for them. The people insisted and God gave them Saul. See 1st Samuel chapter 8. The results became the nation of Israel. God then used the nation the people provided. David and Solomon were God’s choice for King. The Prophet Daniel, explains in chapter five that God chooses whom HE wills to reign. 1st and 2nd Chronicles reveals the choice is determined by the spiritual condition of the people. When the people’s hearts were turned toward God He gave them kings who also had a heart for Him.

As time went by the people of Israel became captives and thus scattered throughout the known world, and the nation of Israel ceased to exist. They had rebelled, turned to idolatry and their own self will. Satan had achieved a measure of temporary success. THEN JESUS CAME! He rose up a people of both Jews and Gentiles. Once more God had a people, the CHRISTIANS. Satan has been defeated and cast out of heaven; defeated once and for all by Jesus. Satan is a glutton for punishment and he never gives up trying to hinder the glorious plan of God. Through the dark ages it looked as though Satan was once again about to succeed over the church, the true followers of Jesus. However, the Holy Spirit prevailed through the faithful church remnant to cause spiritual awakening in various places.

NOTE: Satan cannot handle a true Holy Spirit awakening, but he gets vast amounts of mileage from a “religious” movement. There is a major difference between the two. “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” II Timothy 3:5 NKJV

By the 15th Century Spain had become known as the 2nd Zion. More Jewish people resided there than in any other country. In 1492, King Ferdinand decreed Jews would no longer be welcome on Spanish soil. The Jewish people would once again be scattered. However, Christopher Columbus was pleading with Queen Isabella to convince the King to financially underwrite his next ocean going adventure. Ferdinand and Isabella agreed and sent Columbus on his way. WHAT DID HE DISCOVER? The Americas - Canada, Brazil, Argentina, and the United States - which became the Jewish people’s next home away from home, where they fared very well in these new lands while they awaited the rebirth of Israel in 1948.

WHAT HAD GOD CAUSED TO COME ABOUT?
The creation, of the United States of America!

According to early and accurate American History, our nation was populated for the most part by God-fearing, Christ honoring and Bible believing families. They came, braving the unknown, to be free from the oppressive power and taxation of European governments and state churches! In the first 150 years under British control, thirteen agricultural colonies were created. However, Great Britain demanded heavy taxation and practically no representation for the people.

In 1775 Patrick Henry, a patriotic Virginian, made this public statement. “An appeal to arms and the God of host is all that is left us. But we shall not fight our battle alone. There is a just God that presided over the destiny of nations. The battle sir, is not of the strong alone. Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, almighty God. I know not what course others may take, but as for me, GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH.” The next year, 1776, he wrote, “It cannot be emphasized too strong or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religion but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For that reason alone, people of other faiths have been afforded freedom of worship here.” Patrick Henry was 100% CHRISTIAN!

Consider these words from Thomas Jefferson, written in his Bible. “I am a Christian, that is to say a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus. I have little doubt that our whole country will soon be rallied to the unity of our Creator and I hope to the pure doctrine of Jesus also.” Today we are hearing voices via the media, that the United States was never a Christian nation, and that Thomas Jefferson was for separation of church and state. He was indeed in favor of the state having absolutely NO AUTHORITY OVER THE CHURCH. Too many of today’s politicians want our nation separated from God with the atheistic image. Nearly all these voices align themselves with the godless liberals in America. “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules the people groan.”
Proverbs 29:2 NKJV

Was George Washington a Christian? Consider these words from his personal prayer book. “Oh, eternal and everlasting God, direct my thoughts, words, and work. Wash away my sins in the immaculate blood of the lamb and purge my heart by the Holy Spirit. Daily, frame me more and more in the likeness of thy Son, Jesus Christ, that living in thy fear, and dying in thy favor, I may in thy appointed time obtain the resurrection of the justified race of mankind and let the world be filled with the knowledge of thy Son, Jesus Christ.”

Our first Court Justice, Judge John Jay, stated “When we select our national leaders, if we are to preserve our nation, WE MUST SELECT CHRISTIANS.” “Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers and it is the duty as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.” Americans have a heritage to uphold and protect!

Calvin Coolidge, our 30th President, reaffirmed this truth when he wrote, “The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country.”

The United States Congress, in 1782, voted this resolution which states: “The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools.” The trend of turning away from God as His nation began in 1947 by a ruling of the Supreme Court. These Supreme Court rulings have continued to rule God, Jesus, prayer and the Bible out of our schools. Satan used Madalyn Murray O’Hair and others like her to begin the removal of Christianity from our schools and the United States. Now we have a generation on our hands that do not know the “FEAR OF GOD” nor the Godly History of America! Pray America!

The reason American History has been deleted from our
school text books is that American History cannot be taught without Christianity!
THE TWO ARE DIVINELY WOVEN TO GETHER!

During these past 50 years, the church has either been lulled into spiritual slumber or become very self-centered. Much of what you and I know as today’s church is shallow, lacking in divine order, virtually powerless and filled with worldly compromise. The church in the past 50 years has not involved itself in the political arena, mostly due to the fear of the loss of congregations or of our non-profit status. Consequently, those who have voted have paid little attention to the Godly foundation of our nation. We elect practically no one to any public office who is not an attorney, which is proving to be very problematic. On the other hand, there are great Christian attorneys in this country who provide good legal counsel and representation. We, the church, have been so self consumed we have done little or nothing while a majority of the Supreme Court has reduced our once very Christian image to one of almost being “Anti-Christ.”

We are yet God’s nation and people, but it is time for America to fully return to God and continue its support for Israel. We must at all cost continue to be God’s arm of Missionary evangelism and the world’s peacemaker; these are the three major biblical roles that are assigned to the God-fearing people of these 50 states of America. Read carefully, Genesis 12:3, Mark 16:15, and Matthew 5:9. Remember, Jesus said “the peacemakers would be called the children of God” and the United States of America is the only nation known as the Christian Nation. “Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called the sons of God.” Matthew 5:9 NKJV

The time is NO W for all Christians to become true followers of Jesus and restore this nation that Satan seeks to destroy.

WHEN TRUE BELIEVERS, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, EXCERCISE FAITH, HAVE COMMITMENT AND TAKE ACTION TO UPHOLD THE PRINCIPALS OF GOD LINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS WE ARE A POWERFUL FORCE!

NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER! AMERICA WILL BE RESTORED!
