Dear Friend,
“And Behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord flashed and shone all about them, and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold I bring you good news of great joy which will come to all people. For to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, who is Christ (the Messiah) the Lord!” Luke 2:9-11 AMP
What an absolutely awesome proclamation! One that would effect the world’s population and bring great change. It did! It has! It will! The world has never been the same since Jesus came. Not everyone has received Him as of this date, but many have. What a wonderful gift! Those of us who have received Jesus are born again. We have been redeemed by His blood and our minds transformed by the power of God. We are new creatures in Christ and no longer slaves to sin, sickness and Satan. Such truth is worth many strong Hallelujahs. I pray this will be a wonderful time for celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus. Our celebration should be demonstrated in many ways and all offered up to Jesus and our Heavenly Father as a gift of high praise. Let this season be filled with worship and thanksgiving.
Worship Him in your home, your church, your neighborhood, your car, and while shopping for that special gift for a precious loved one. In fact you can even worship Him while on your job. Allow me to suggest that you get into fellowship with the Holy Spirit because He will enhance your worship.
Now a word of wisdom: Don’t go overboard buying gifts so that it takes the next several months to get out of debt. Surely you want to give a nice gift to the one your love, but don’t put yourself in bondage to debt.
You know, a sincere hug, an affectionate kiss or a gentle meaningful saying, “I love you” is a wonderful gift. In the midst of all this Christmas celebration, keep Jesus in the very center of all you and your families’ activities.
Worship the Lord with the best Christmas offering you have ever given. Especially if you know your offering will be going towards causing many others to have an opportunity to get to know Jesus. Let this Christmas be the most exciting and spiritual one you have ever enjoyed. Attend church on Christmas Eve. After all it’s Sunday. This will be my first Christmas in 55 years without my wife JoAnn. She will be worshipping with all my family members and yours that have preceded us to heaven. Their worship will be heavenly and ours earthly. Together we will offer our Lord Jesus with a heart of gratitude to our Heavenly Father.
Now a loving word of advice: Do not allow the world’s activities and attitudes to influence you at this time of the year. For instance; it is not, “Happy Holidays,” it is “Merry Christmas!” If people express themselves with Happy Holidays, respond with a hearty “Merry Christmas”.” I have decided that all this weird ‘Political Correctness’ is the language of the confused. The Apostle Paul tells us that God is not the author of confusion. 1 Cor. 14:33
I thank you for all your continued prayers for me and my family. Your prayers are being answered and I find God’s grace more than sufficient in my hour of grief. I am not taking time off and intend to keep on doing what I am assigned to do.
Your continued prayers and financial support is sincerely appreciated. I know there are folks receiving my ministry letter who make end of the year contributions. Let me thank you and say God bless you!
The coming New Year is going to offer some marvelous opportunities and open doors. With your help and the anointing of the Holy Spirit I will minister to many backsliders, lukewarm Christians and outright sinners in 2007. Because of Isaiah 55:11 I will expect and see a harvest of souls. You standing with and enabling me will bring you an equal reward. Have a blessed Christmas and a Spiritually Prosperous New Year.
