Dear Fellow Believer,
It is that time of the year once again. “Joy to the world the Lord has come!” Over 2500 hundred years ago the prophet Isaiah prophesied, “Therefore the Lord
himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and you shall call his name Immanuel,” Isaiah 7:14 NKJ
Some years later the prophet Micah spoke, “But you Bethlehem Ephratah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you He come forth to ME that is to be ruler in Israel; whose going forth have been from of old, from EVERLASTING,” Micah 5:2 KJV
Our Loving Heavenly Father used Isaiah and Micah to tell the world a savior would MIRACULOUSLY APPEAR in the small village of Bethlehem.
The Apostle Luke provides us a detailed account of Isaiah’s and Micah’s prophecies being fulfilled in Luke 2:1-20. In Matthew’s Gospel, he also declares the coming of the Christ Child, but reveals the arrival of the wise men from the east, two years after the birth. The wise men were God’s chosen, sent to bring wealth for the well being of the Christ Child, Immanuel. They all possessed frankincense, myrrh and gold. Consider the amazing truths about these men: There was more than one. Just how many we do not know. All we truly know is that it was a number of men. Tradition says, “We Three Kings of the Orient.” The figure three was picked up because they brought Frankincense, Myrrh and Gold, all of great value. The wise men worshipped and gave gifts.
Please note; these men were kings, respected leaders and scientist of astronomy. Because they were also God fearing and directed by HIM, God could provide them an
early guidance system to lead them to Bethlehem; A STAR.
They were not astrologers; men controlled neither by familiar spirits nor from Iran as some erroneously believe. Had their origin been Iran it would not have taken two
years to arrive in Jerusalem. There short time in Jerusalem was designed to expose King Herod as an agent of Satan. These wise men brought a sufficient amount of wealth so that
Jesus and his family could flee to Egypt in comfort and later return to Nazareth where it is evident they were a prominent family. In the book of Genesis you will discover; the
wise men were descendants of Abraham by his concubines, Abraham SENT THEM, well prepared, into the Far East. Today we recognize them as Orientals. Genesis Chapter 25.
This is the Christmas Season. You and I owe a debt we can never pay. We can make payments by serving him with DILIGENCE. As the Apostle Paul instructs, “I beseech
you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service,” Romans 12:1.
No greater gift can one ever receive than the gift of eternal life through our savior, Jesus. Is Paul asking too much of us in this verse? Absolutely Not! Can one ever completely give him or herself as a living sacrifice? This question has been answered, in the AFFIRMATIVE, by many dedicated men and women. In fact, if one will allow the Holy Spirit to have HIS place in his or her life, HE WILL HELP, them do all, the Father ask.
This year, celebrate the birth of our Savior in a truly Biblical way. Consider Romans 12:1
As stated in the amplified translation of the Bible: “I appeal to you therefore, Brethren, and beg of you in view of all the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies (presenting all your members and faculties) as a living sacrifice, holy devoted, consecrated and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.” Romans 12:1 Amplified Bible
WHAT an awesome, wonderful present you and I can offer, as a sacrifice, to our Lord Jesus! Such a sacrifice, at Christmas means we crucify our flesh. Romans 6:6; Galatians 2:20 & 5:24. We accept the leadership of the Holy Spirit for every moment of our lives, Galatians 5:16-18. What an act of submission! We place ourselves in company with The Apostle Paul, who writes, “I have been crucified with Christ (In him I have shared his crucifixion); it is no longer I who live, but Christ the Messiah, lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (By adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, WHO LOVED ME and GAVE HIMSELF UP FOR ME,” Galatians 2:20 Amplified Bible
CHRISTMAS IS TIME FOR CELEBRATION! May this Christmas be one of love and peace for you and your family; truly celebrating the Gift of God for the Salvation of all mankind.
Please do not allow the commercialization and worldly activities of this time of the year to consume you. REMEMBER, It is not “HAPPY HOLIDAYS;” it is “MERRY CHRISTMAS.” Do not allow so-called political correctness to corrupt this blessed time of the year.
I close this Christmas and End of the Year Ministry Letter with a word from the Lord:
“Let him or her who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches; do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the spirit will of the spirit reap everlasting life. Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season, we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:6-10
Paul continues in I Timothy 5:17, “Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.” Based on the word of God, I ask you to consider a special Christmas gift for the ministry assignment our father has placed in my hands. I am an elder in the Body of Christ; I do labor in the word and doctrine, this ministry is good ground for you to sow into. I am very thankful, to God, for all he has allowed me to do to his glory. I consider this ministry to be
worthy of double honor.
Pray over your Christmas or End of the Year Gift prior to sealing the enclosed envelope. I pray it will be returned to you some 30, some 60 and some 100 fold. Any of these amounts is a marvelous return.
Remember, our Father determines the amount of return.
Your gift will definitely help me launch this ministry into 2008. God Bless You and Yours!
May the Miracle of Christmas and ALL of HIS Richest Blessings be upon you and yours during this Holy
Season!
